Mark and Nancy Patten's two Belgium horses pull the sleigh along a lantern lit trail, inevitably make a lingering stop at the ever-popular "kissin' tree." The three-quarters of an hour ride ends with homemade hot chocolate served from a wood cookstove in the warmth of the Patten's century old log home.

This winter spend two nights at the Guesthouse or Cabin and take in Boundary Country Trekking's acclaimed Mongolian Firepot Dinner, a delicious fondue of vegetables and meats cooked in a savory charcoal heated broth, served with Oriental condiments over rice.
The dinner is served at the Tall Pines Yurt. The Yurt is located a short distance from a parking area. You can walk or ski in. Firepot Dinner is available for two or three people every open Tuesday night. Four or more people, dinner can be scheduled any night of the week that the yurt is available.
Package includes two nights lodging in room of choice in Bed and Breakfast with one night on a Tuesday. Four or more people choice of available rooms in Guesthouse or the Little Ollie Lake Cabin and the Mongolian Firepot Dinner.
Rate: $165/person plus taxes.
First night in Dorothy's room at Poplar Creek Guesthouse. Following breakfast the next morning, you drive to the kennel. At the kennel, you help harness your own team of five to six huskies; then climb aboard the sled runners for an exciting dog sled adventure through the wild lands of the Kadunce River Valley area. A musher instructor/guide accompanies you on a separate sled. Following your mushing adventure, you return to the Guesthouse for your last night.
Package includes a half day or full day of mushing; two nights lodging at Poplar Creek Guesthouse B& B.
Rate: $305 per person with a half day of dog sledding; $369 per person with a full day of dog sledding. A hearty trail lunch is included on full day trip. Plus taxes, double occupancy.
